Murchison is also known for its district hospital which is government owned and serves the rural area around it like Boboyi, KwaNyandezulu and Paddock amongst other areas.It is situated along the N2 national road between Port Shepstone and Izingolweni. The route does give direct access to major cities such as Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town.
