Morris Creek Wildlife Management Area


Morris Creek Wildlife Management Area is located near Clendenin, West Virginia in Clay and Kanawha counties. Located on of steeply forested woodlands, the Morris Creek WMA can be accessed from Morris Creek Road north of Clendenin, or from Leatherwood Creek Road south of Clendenin.

Hunting and fishing

Hunting opportunities in the Morris Creek WMA include deer, bear, squirrel, turkey.
The excellent fishing opportunities are available in the Elk River, including bass, catfish, muskellunge, and walleye. Boat ramps are provided north of Clendenin at Queen Shoals and at the Clendenin Water Plant.
Camping is not available in the WMA. Camping is available at Kanawha State Forest, about 30 miles south near Charleston.
