Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007


Montenegro debuted at Eurovision in 2007, having chosen a song and performer on the 25 February 2007 through a new format called MontenegroSong 2007. The Montenegrin public chose Stevan Faddy and the song "Ajde, Kroči" to represent the nation as its first entry. In the competition, ten songs competed with the winner being selected by televoting only.

Before Eurovision

MontenegroSong 2007

MontenegroSong 2007, the Montenegrin National Final, was the first edition of MontenegroSong.
The final was held on 25 February 2007 at the RTCG TV Studios in Podgorica, hosted by Dražen Bauković and Olivera Simunović. Ten songs, all in Serbian, competed and the winner was chosen by televoting, which was "Ajde, kroči" performed by Stevan Faddy. Prior to the final, a draw took place on 18 February 2007 to determine the order of performance during the show.
The interval acts included performances by Dmitry Koldun, No Name and Alenka Gotar.

At Eurovision

Stevan Faddy competed in the semi-final of Eurovision on 10 May 2007. He performed seventh in the competition, following Georgia's entry, "Visionary Dream" by Sopho and preceding Switzerland's DJ Bobo with "Vampires Are Alive". He failed to qualify for the final night, placing 22nd in a field of 28 songs.
