Missy Gold


Missy Gold is an American psychologist and former child actress. She is known as portraying the governor's daughter, Katie Gatling, on the sitcom Benson.
Gold was born to Joe and Bonnie Fisher on July 14, 1970 in Great Falls, Montana, one year after her elder sister, Tracey. In 1973, after her mother's remarriage to Harry Goldstein, both Missy and Tracey were legally adopted by their stepfather and became known as Tracey and Melissa Goldstein.
Her acting siblings include older sister Tracey, younger sister Brandy and Jessie, who has had a variety of guest spots.
Gold appeared on Eight Is Enough, Fantasy Island, The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries and Trapper John, M.D. and earned a degree of fame playing Katie Gatling on Benson, where she won an award for best young actress in a comedy series in 1984 before leaving the business.
Gold received a B.A. at Georgetown University and then earned her Ph.D. from California School of Professional Psychology
She is now a licensed psychologist.
