Mili Mili World Music


Mili Mili World Music is an eclectic mix of artists and music with the moto One World, One Race, One Voice.
Mili Mili, in Arabic translates into movement, is a dynamic world music band originally from Los Angeles. The band performs in Portuguese, Arabic, Swahili, Armenian, Spanish, Assyrian, and English among others.
A culturally diverse group, the multi-national members come from the four corners of the globe enriching the sound of the ensemble with their traditional instruments and native sounds. In crossing the boundaries of multi-ethnicity, Mili Mili’s sound is an interesting fusion of melodies, rhythms and dances from all around the world from Brazil, the Middle-East, to Africa and Asia blending the cultures of the world in one single band.

In 2006 Mili Mili competed in NBC's Star Tomorrow with David Foster and made it to the top ten.

Live appearances

Mili Mili has performed live at events in and around Southern California, including the Long Beach Carnival, Hollywood Palladium Brazilian Nights, World Beat Center Earth Day Celebration in San Diego, the MGM Grand Las Vegas, the Temple Bar, BB King's, Beverly Hills Film Festival, Hard Rock Cafe, the Irvine Global Village Festival, and the Levitt Pavilion in Los Angeles.
Mili Mili has also performed live on the radio at 88.9 KXLU FM Los Angeles. The single "Mili Mili" has aired on KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles and received rave reviews from Europe and was aired on P3 Swedish National Radio.
