Milen Petkov


Milen Ivanov Petkov is a former Bulgarian professional footballer.
Petkov's professional playing career as a defensive midfielder spanned nearly 20 years, during which he played for six clubs: Dobrudzha Dobrich, CSKA Sofia, AEK Athens, Atromitos, Ilisiakos and Cherno More Varna.
Petkov was capped 37 times for the Bulgarian national team, scoring one goal. He appeared in the 1998 FIFA World Cup, as well as the 2004 UEFA European Championship.

His previous teams were Dobrudzha Dobrich, CSKA Sofia, AEK Athens, Atromitos and Ilisiakos.

International career

Petkov was part of the Bulgarian World Cup 1998 team and Bulgarian 2004 European Football Championship team, which was eliminated in the first round, finishing bottom of Group C, having finished top of Qualifying Group 8 in the pre-tournament phase. Between 1997 and 2004 for Bulgaria national football team he had 37 caps and scored 1 goals.
