Miguel Ubeto


Miguel Armando Ubeto Aponte is a male professional road racing cyclist from Venezuela. He turned professional in 2012 with before signing with the UCI World Tour team for 2013. In 2011 he won the UCI America Tour.
In May 2013, Ubeto was provisionally suspended for an adverse finding of GW501516. He was later banned for two years.
As a result of this Adverse Analytical Finding for the use of GW1516, the UCI suspended Ubeto for 14 months for this Anti-Doping Rule Violation. The dates of his this suspension were from 16-04-2013 to 5-06-2014.
Following this suspension, Ubeto won the gold medal in the men's cycling road race at the 2015 Pan-American championships in Toronto Canada. The Pan-American games are held once every 4 years, with the next games to be held in Lima, Peru in 2019.
On 7 July 2018, while riding for the team "Venezuela País de Futuro", Uberto won the 3rd stage in the Vuelta a Venezuela.
On 1 August 2018, Uberto was provisionally suspended by the UCI for "Use of Prohibited Methods and/or Prohibited Substances"
