Maurencia Gillion
Maurencia Natalie Gillion is a South African politician who serves as a Delegate of the National Council of Provinces, the upper house of the South African Parliament. She is a member of the Western Cape provincial delegation representing the African National Congress. She is the chairperson of the legislature's Select Committee on Health and Social Services.
Gillion was previously a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2014 to 2019. She was the ANC's deputy provincial secretary from 2011 to 2015 and the party's provincial treasurer from 2015 to 2019. She was Executive Mayor of the Overberg District Municipality between 2006 to 2010.
