Mateusz Grzesiak


Mateusz Grzesiak is a Polish Ph.D. in economics, psychologist, university lecturer, personal development coach and consultant. Author of various books on management, marketing, psychology of success, change, relationships, and emotional intelligence. Author of Mixed Mental Arts - an integrated model of soft skills. Grzesiak significantly contributed to the creation and then popularisation of the personal development market in Poland.

Education

Grzesiak graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Psychology at University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He was a scholarship holder at the Rhine Friedrich Wilhelm University in Bonn. He holds a doctoral degree in management.

Business activities

Mateusz Grzesiak's business activity began in 2005. Since 2013, he has held the position of chairman of the board at Starway Ltd. The company offers training products dedicated to individuals as well as business customers.
He conducts trainings in Poland and abroad, including Latin America and Europe. He participates as a speaker in various international congresses concerning the issue of leadership.
Grzesiak also implemented strategic projects concerning sales and management for private entities from the automotive, petroleum, energy, FMCG, cosmetic, banking, insurance and IT industries, including such brands as Audi, Arbonne, Google, Coca-Cola, Volkswagen Bank, Aviva, Porsche, Atlas, Noble Bank, Danone, LOTOS, Sysmex, Credit Agricole Bank, Roche, BNP Paribas, ING, Orlen, Aviva, Burda Publishing, Press Glass and Infosys. Grzesiak also co-hosted conferences and motivational meetings, alongside Robert Cialdini, Anthony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, Jack Canfield, Blair Singer, Bob Proctor, Les Brown and Brian Tracy. He was a member of the Honorary Program Council for Polish American Leadership Summit 2018. Grzesiak appears on book and job fairs in Poland, gathering large audiences. He works with athletes, public figures and entrepreneurs. Grzesiak is an author of books and articles, and owns an internet TV training channel. He has his own blog as well as a YouTube channel, where he presents clips concerning personal development and business practices. He appears as a guest in TV programmes in Ponald and abroad. The media has called him the most popular psychologist in Poland.
Since 2018 he is a HTC brand ambasador. He is also an ambassador of various brands, including New Balance. Creator of educational programs at universities which he implements as part of his trademark MBA and postgraduate studies and runs in the field of marketing, management, leadership, and coaching.

Charity

Mateusz participates in social charity and campaigns about rising entrepreneurship among women. He participated in different campaigns of such organisations as Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, I Have a Dream Foundation, Między Niebem a Ziemią Foundation and Global Woman Summit. He also supports Polish communities in England, Ireland, Germany and the United States. He's an ambassador of Odblaskowi.pl campaign which aim is to promote wearing reflective elements among pedestrians and cyclists and #17million initiative which is being organized by Kolorowy Świat Foundation in order to professionally help children born with Cerebral palsy He is also called to be a promoter of opened culture. For years, he actively supports introducing soft education programs in schools and promotes the ideas of lifelong learning.

Scientific work

Grzesiak has a doctoral degree in management from Warsaw School of Economics. The title of his thesis was Personal brand creation on YouTube channel in Poland and the USA. He is an author of scientific publications and appeared as a guest on various conferences in Poland and other countries. Grzesiak also lectured in such higher education institutions such as Warsaw School of Economics, University of Dąbrowa Górnicza, University of Szczecin and Oxford University. Since 2017, he is a member of the academic senate and holds the position of adjunct lecturer at the management department at University of Dąbrowa Górnicza. Grzesiak is an active member of scientific committees: i.a. organised by University of Humanities and Economics - Scientific Committee of Creativity Personalisation Conference, he is a member of the board of experts at the University of Dąbrowa Górnicza, he is also a member of Polish Economic Society, Polish Scientific Marketing Association, Scientific Society for Organization and Management and the American Marketing Association. He actively participates in different research projects – in 2018 together with scientists from Poland, Italy, France and Germany he participated in E-comma project which was founded by the European Union and Erasmus ++. The idea of the project is to identify new professions in the field of e-marketing and e-commerce as well as to design new methods of training. He is also being invited to be a member of Scientific Boards at different scientific conferences as well as Organising Committees. Since 2018 he is a member of International Society of Schema Therapy.

Journalistic writing

He is an author of articles published in Forbes Brasil, Administradores, Warsaw Business Journal, NaTemat.pl as well as a columnist for Wprost weekly and Elleman magazine. He also appears as expert on various TV and radio programmes in Poland and abroad. His statements and opinions were cited by various web portals, including Polish, Slovak as well as English-language media. According to the media, Grzesiak holds the position of the most popular psychologist and personal development coach in Poland.

Awards

To a large extend, Grzesiak popularized personal development in Poland. In 2015 his book Success and Change, thanks to internet users' votes, was awarded a Theophrastus Statuette as the most popular book in the field of psychology. Grzesiak also won the Manager Award 2017 for implementation of modern forms of management in Polish business companies, including participatory management and innovative selling strategies in the car and petroleum industries, as well as international, scientific research concerning brand identity building in social media and its marketing implications. Grzesiak also received a title of the Optimist of the Year 2017, Luxurious Brand 2017Symbol of Polish Mentorship and Good Innovation Gene organized by Wprost magazine for creating original and innovative sales in the field of E-commerce and digital branding. He was awarded Tiger of Business 2018 award for his effectiveness in combining science with business and promotion of Polish entrepreneurship abroad. He also received the Initiator of Business 2017 prize which is given to best managers in Poland. For his effectiveness in combining science and businesses as well as promotion of Polish entrepreneurship abroad, he was awarded with Tiger of Business 2018 prize. Many of his articles received honourable mention at international conferences. For instance, article entitled ‘Young Consumers’ Behaviours in Social Media and Their Impact on Personal Brand Development’ which he wrote together with Prof. Katarzyna Bilinska-Reformat, was awarded with Research Excellence Award during The International Scientific Conference on Challenges in Business and Social Sciences in Dubai. He was also awarded by Wprost with the Polish Business Teacher prize for implementing modern teaching methods for the development of Polish private companies and creating business leaders. In 2018 he was awarded with the title of "Visionary of 2018" for driving social and economic changes through the introduction of modern educational solutions at the level of higher education. The title is awarded to people who in their activities are guided by social needs. Together with Prof. Katarzyna Bilinska-Reformat from University of Economics in Katowice he was awarded with "Science for business" prize for the creation of new business solutions in the field of management and marketing for small and medium-sized enterprises and showing new directions consulting sector. Students from WSB Academy chose him to be entitled ‘The lecturer of 2018’ in ‘personality’ category. In 2018, the Business Institute awarded him the title "Ambassador of Innovation 2018" for the development of the Mixed Mental Arts model. In 2018 he also received the Polish Mentoring Strength Award for conducting consistent activities for the promotion of mentoring for business and individual client.In 2019 he was awarded with Top President award for most interesting, promising and inspiring managers. In 2019, he was awarded the Top President Award for the most impressive, best, promising, and inspiring managers. In the same year, he also received the "International Success of the Year" statuette for scientific and business achievements in foreign markets and the promotion of education culture. He was awarded the title of "Meritorious for Multi-Level Marketing." He was also awarded the "Medal of the National Education Commission." Law Business Quality magazine also awarded him for supporting and acting on behalf of women. In December 2019 Student Business Centre Club Forum awarded him with the "Role model of entrepreneurship" prize. In 2020 Starway, a company he manages, received a prestigious "Forbes Diamonds, 2020" award.

Sport

Grzesiak is strongly engaged in sport activities. He holds a blue belt rank in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He is also a water polo referee and a junior lifeguard. Grzesiak holds a Divemaster PADI degree. He also propagate healthy lifestyle in the media. Plenty of publications has appeared describing his physical transformation.

Music

He is the author of the concept and lyrics on the album Anioły i Demony released by Step Records, to which music was composed and arranged by Marcin "Pawbeats" Pawłowski. Zbigniew Zamachowski and Danuta Stenka also guest-starred on the album consisting of 12 songs, which is a combination of music, science, art, and psychology.
