Masaki Suda


Taishō Sugō, known professionally as Masaki Suda, is a Japanese actor and singer. He played Philip in Kamen Rider W. He won the Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. His debut song is "Mita Koto mo Nai Keshiki."

Personal life

Suda was born in Osaka. He is a dancer, and plays soccer and piano. His friends include Kento Yamazaki,Taiga Nakano and Fumi Nikaido. On a relationship with Nikaido, he said that they are friends. In the music industry, he is close to Ishizaki Huwie and Aimyon.

Career

Acting

Suda met talent agents while in middle school. He had several auditions and was a finalist at Amuse, Inc. and :ja:ジュノン・スーパーボーイ・コンテスト|Junon Superboy Contest. He signed with the Topcoat agency under the stage name. He played Philip in the tokusatsu series, Kamen Rider, starring in six films. His performance was well received, and he was cast on several television series. His film debut role after Kamen Rider was in The Backwater. Suda starred in the live-action version of Daily Lives of High School Boys. The following year, he had a supporting role in The Light Shines Only There. Suda won the Best New Actor award from Tama Cinema Forum. He played Akuma in the television drama Shinigami-kun and Karma Akabane in the second live-action manga version, Assassination Classroom. Suda starred in the web miniseries and its, and in Setoutsumi. Suda won the Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in Wilderness. He starred in the 2018 live-action film My Little Monster, and voiced Shazam in the Japanese-dubbed version of the 2019 film.

Music

Suda appeared in the biopic film about Hide of the group Greeeen. They released an EP, Green Boys, in 2017. Suda released his first album, Play, in March 2018. His second album, Love, was released in July 2019.
