Marty Riskin


Martin "Marty" Riskin, is an American political cartoonist and the author of the Penspeak political cartoon. He also provides caricatures of local political figures for local newspapers.

Background

Riskin graduated from Massachusetts College of Art. He began his career moving from ad agency staff artist, to art director, to owning his own freelance arts studio. He designed and illustrated over 200 books, and created greeting cards, calendars, games and promotional material.
His weekly editorial cartoons appear regularly in over 20 local newspapers. He also teaches oil painting and cartooning.
