Mariyah Islamic School

Mariyah Islamic School is an all-girls school located at 3667 LAWRENCE AVE EAST Toronto, ON, Canada, M1G 1P7
Mariyah Islamic School, recognized and accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education, was first opened in 1995 and is known as the "sister" of Jaamiah Ajax, a boarding school exclusively for boys. The education offered at Mariyah ranges from kindergarten to grade 12. The school's curriculum consists of both Islamic studies and traditional academic courses.
The school is very professional and under the management of the Khan family. The school provides academic, secular education along with giving a strong importance towards Islamic education.
Students are taught manners, how to behave, how to act like human beings, how to be good citizens, the 99 names of Allah, the Arabic language, Qur'an recitation, Qur'an memorization, and Proper Tajweed. The school gets students involved in their communities through a concept called Anjumon.
Anjumon is when students are assigned to present Qur'an recitations, speeches, and perform nasheeds in front of the entire school, often with a microphone. This strengthens their confidence and gives Mariyah Islamic School a fun, unique experience. Students are also humbled through doing khidmaat and cleaning acts such as vacuuming, mopping, and so forth.
Parents are encouraged to be patient when trying to receive the grades, report cards, and diplomas of their children.
The school is currently located at Central mosque Scarborough, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada.
