Marisha Ray


Marisha Ray is an American voice actress, host, and producer. She is best known for her roles as Keyleth and Beauregard from Critical Role. In video games, Ray has voiced Margaret in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and ', Laura Arseid in ' series, and Miranda in Metal Gear: Survive.

Early life

Marisha Ray was born May 10, 1989 in Louisville, KY. At twelve she began acting at the Actors Theater of Louisville.

Career

Ray moved to Los Angeles in 2008. She produced a Batgirl fanseries in 2012 called Batgirl: Spoiled where she played the titular character.
In 2015, Ray began co-starring in the web series Critical Role where the actors play Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition. Ray's character for the first campaign was Keyleth, a half-elf druid. As a part of getting into her character, Ray compiled a playlist representing Keyleth's journey. Her character for the second campaign is Beauregard, the human monk. Ray was involved in many of Geek & Sundry's other productions, including co-hosting Key Questions, producing Signal Boost!, and acting in Sagas of Sundry.
Ray announced her appointment to the post of Creative Director for Geek & Sundry on July 28, 2017. However, she stepped down from the position in June 2018, when she became the Creative Director for Critical Role.

Personal life

Ray has been diagnosed with hyperhidrosis and underwent surgery to negate it in her hands and armpits. On October 24, 2016, Ray announced her engagement to voice actor and fellow member of the Critical Role cast Matthew Mercer. They married on October 21, 2017.
