Mario Vicini

Mario Vicini was an Italian professional road bicycle racer. Vicini won the 1940 Italian road race championship, as well as the Giro del Lazio and the Giro di Toscana. He rode the Tour de France twice, finishing 2nd and 6th. In the Giro d'Italia, Vicini won 3 stages, and finished third in 1939.
He later went on to build racing bicycles, simply named "Vicini", using top of the line components. You can tell his frame and fork sets by the Vicini name stamped into the top end of the seat stay flutes and the V in the top of each side of the fork crown.
