Marinko Rokvić


Marinko Rokvić is a Bosnian pop-folk singer, popular in former Yugoslavia and to a lesser degree in Bulgaria. He has made over 20 albums and also won the "Zlatni Melos"-award in 1993.

Life

Rokvić was born into an ethnic Serb family in Kolunić, near Bosanski Petrovac, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, SFR Yugoslavia. At the age of 14 he moved to Belgrade. He studied electrical engineering.
He is married to Slavica who is a nurse, and together they have two sons. One son, Nikola Rokvić, is also a recording artist, the second is Marko Rokvić and he is singer too. He also has a son from one of his previous relationships named Dario.

Controversies

A number of his colleagues accused Marinko Rokvić that he worked as a sex worker. Miloš Bojanić was the first who made these claims, and they were later verified by Zorica Marković. Rokvić was also involved in a number of physical fights, and Nada Topčagić was one of his victims.
