Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003


Malta competed in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga, Latvia. The Maltese entry was selected through the Malta Song for Europe contest, where the winner is Lynn Chircop with the song "To Dream Again", written by Alfred Zammit and Cynthia Sammut.

Semi-final

The semi-final was held on 7 February 2003 at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta' Qali, hosted by Gianni Zammit and Mireille Bonello. The top sixteen entries qualified to compete in the final on 8 February 2003 based on a 50/50 combination of votes from a jury and televoting.

At Eurovision

On the night of the final Malta performed fifth in the running order, following Turkey and preceding Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the end of the voting Malta had received only 4 points, finishing 25th out of the 26 entries.
