Luisa Bradshaw-White


Luisa Bradshaw-White is an English actress, known for playing Tina Carter in EastEnders and for her previous roles on Bad Girls, Holby City and This Life. She played the cousin of Tracy Stubbs and Sharon Theodopolopodous in the television series Birds of a Feather from 1997.

Career

She first became known for playing Maria Watts in the long-running BBC children's programme Grange Hill. She went on to act in several other notable television programmes including The Brittas Empire ; London's Burning, A Touch of Frost, the ITV police drama The Bill, Birds of a Feather, and Lorna Rose in Bad Girls in 1999.
In 1996, she played Kira in the popular BBC drama This Life. Film credits include Wonderful World, The Escort, A Friendship in Vienna and playing Evita in Mauvaise Passe. Other notable television credits include roles in Big Bad World ; Bad Girls and Meaningful Sex. She played nurse Lisa Fox in the BBC hospital drama Holby City.
Stage credits include Godspell, Solitary Confinement, The Shagaround and playing Lady Anne in Richard III.
In 1997, Bradshaw-White along with fellow This Life cast member Ramon Tikaram were invited by Elton John to appear in his music video for the song "Something About the Way You Look Tonight".
On 18 November 2013, Bradshaw-White made her first appearance in the BBC soap opera EastEnders as the younger sister of established character, Shirley Carter. On 23 December 2013, Bradshaw-White described her character Tina Carter as "funny" and "sweet" yet also "naughty", with a playful relationship between her and Shirley. On 1 December 2014 she praised soap bosses over their portrayal of domestic abuse within a homosexual relationship, as part of a storyline featuring Tina and her firefighter girlfriend Fiona "Tosh" Mackintosh.

Personal life

Bradshaw-White is openly lesbian, and has been with her partner Annette for 15 years. The couple married in July 2015 and have two daughters. She is a vegetarian.
