Lough Yganavan and Lough Nambrackdarrig
Lough Yganavan and Lough Nambrackdarrig are two lakes of ecological importance in County Kerry, Ireland. They are included in a Special Area of Conservation of 271.57 ha, which protects land in private ownership and two state-owned nature reserves.
Lough Nambrackdarrig and the southern half of Lough Yganavan were designated as National Nature Reserves in 1988.
The habitats in the SAC include fixed dunes, a type of machair.Fauna
This is one of the areas in which the rare Kerry Slug and Natterjack Toad are known to occur.
