List of Suzuki Three-wheeled all-terrain vehicles

Suzuki was the last of the Japanese Big-Four manufacturers to introduce an ATC to the market. Their first model was a modest recreational 4-stroke, the ALT125, and would anchor their line-up in the five years Suzuki offered ATC’s. While offering an ATC was a formality in the early eighties, Suzuki kept their line-up simple, relative to contemporaries, offering only three models. Suzuki would spearhead the four-wheeled ATV development during this period, phasing out ATC production in 1986. This was prior to safety concerns and the intervention of the CSCA that lead to all manufacturers voluntarily leaving the ATC market by 1987.
All Suzuki ATC’s feature the model designation ALT. A companion to their ATV “Quad” line, Suzuki would drop the “A” for the LT designation on four-wheeled ATV’s. The ALT125 was introduced in 1982, alongside the LT125 Quad Four Wheeler. All three ATC models would have Quad counterparts, but the LT50 Model would be introduced in 1984, a year after the ALT50 ATC. Oppositely, the LT185 quad was introduced in 1984, one year before the ALT185's only Model year on the market.
While information regarding the three models can be confirmed via advertising and factory manuals, little information regarding the models' histories are available, likely due to the lack of Sport or Utility models. The weak ATC line-up was easily overshadowed by the Quad line, which has a much more significant fanbase. Therefore, a larger pool of information, chatroom dedication and parts support exist for the ATV counterparts, but thankfully much of the ATV drivetrain parts are interchangeable with ATC models.
