are an English professional association football club based in Aston, Birmingham, who currently play in the Premier League. The club was founded in 1874 and have played at their current home ground, Villa Park, since 1897. Aston Villa were founding members of the Football League in 1888 and the Premier League in 1992. They are one of the oldest and most successful football clubs in England, having won the First Division Championship seven times and the FA Cup seven times. In 1982 the club became one of only five English clubs to win the European Cup.

Attendance records at Villa Park are also included in the list.

The highest transfer fee received by the club is believed to be the reported £32.5 million fee paid by Liverpool F.C. for Christian Benteke during the Transfer window following the Premier League 2014-15 season. The record initial transfer fee Aston Villa have paid for a player was £22 million, for Wesley Moraes from Club Brugge in June 2019. In January 2011, Darren Bent signed for a fee that eventually cost £24 million from Sunderland. However, the initial fee was £18 million. On 8 July 2019, Villa signed Tyrone Mings from A.F.C. Bournemouth for a fee that could reach £25 million, with add-ons, but the initial fee was believed to be £20 million.
