Lilla, Jhelum
Lilla is a village and union council of Jhelum District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. It is part of Pind Dadan Khan Tehsil,.
The village is some 220 metres above the sea level and is located in central Punjab. Lilla is also known as Lilla Town and Lilla Shareef. Lilla have 4 small parts which are name as Lilla Bherwana, Lilla Bhera, Lilla Hindwana and Lilla Gujj.
Independence
The predominantly Muslim population supported Muslim League and Pakistan Movement. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, the minority Hindus and Sikhs migrated to India while Muslim refugees from India settled down in the Lilla and nearby areas.Nearest cities

Lying at 32.567° North latitude and 72.750°East longitude and Lying at 32 34' 00° North latitude and 72 45' 00°East longitude Lilla is located 163 kilometer's southwest of Islamabad, in Jhelum District and 3 hours drive from the heart of Punjab Lahore. It lies about 2 miles away from the M-2 motorway, which connects Lahore and Islamabad. It is connected to the M-2 by Lilla Interchange. Lilla is roughly 30 km from Pind Dadan Khan and 116 km to Jhelum. Directly connected by the M-2 motorway are Lahore Islamabad and the route to Khusab, Johrabad, Chakwal and Sargodha. Several cities are within 1 to 2 hours drive including Gujrat, Sargodha, Faislabad, Chakwal, Jhelum and Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.Topography
Lilla mainly comprises flat, fertile plains, although here are a high hills on the Peer Khara and Kallar Kahar Road. The River Jhelum flows on the western and northern sides. The city is located 200 meters above sea level.Climate
The village has a climate of extreme heat in the summers and moderate cold in the winters. The maximum temperature reaches 50 °C in the summer while the minimum temperature recorded is as low as freezing point in the winter.The average annual rainfall is, most of which falls in the summer monsoon season. However, westerly disturbances also bring quite significant rainfall in the winter. In summer, the record maximum temperature has soared to recorded in June 1954, while it has dropped to a minimum of several occasions, though the last of which was in January 1967.

It is the hostorical town and its mostly residents are arab's specifically "Ansari" The casts which's name ended with "L" In Urdu we called as "lam" are the Ansarians except some exceptions Such as cast hall is not arab but the Gujj's are Ansari....The majority of the people in the village speak Punjabi]. Main castes of Lilla are Marhal, Guliyal, Dulyal, Khushial, Gujj, Nuthlial, Nushial, Maswal, Ranjha, Jat, Bajra, Syed, Peers, Mughals, Mirhnal, Gujj, Chahdar, Phaphrah, Peerrwal, Lambar, Gondal, Ranjha, Chahb, Karmal, Panwar, Hall and Pajhlals are among the tribes residing here.Village
The old village has narrow streets and crowded bazaars.The main market area of Lilla is near to "Lari Adda", "Main Lilla Chowk", "Lari Add Chowk" and includes "Main Bazaar", "Androon Bazaar", "Shahid Market", "Porani Mandi Bazaar", and Ranjha Market. Some of the main roads of Lilla are Main Bazar Road, GT Road, Peer Khara Road and Railway Road.
