Leader of the Opposition (Rhodesia)
The Leader of the Opposition in Southern Rhodesia and Rhodesia was a title held by the leader of the largest party, not forming part of the government, in the most important house of the legislature. This was the unicameral Legislative Assembly from 1924 to 1970 and the House of Assembly of the bicameral Parliament from 1970 to 1979. They acted as the public face of the opposition, leading the Shadow Cabinet and the challenge to the government on the floor of the legislature.
