Kurt Mothes
Kurt Mothes - botanist and university teacher from Germany. He was born on November 3, 1900 in Plauen and died on February 12, 1983 in Ribnitz-Damgarten. He graduated from the Leipzig University. He was awarded the Star of People's Friendship, the National Prize of East Germany, the Banner of Labor, the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art, the Hervorragender Wissenschaftler des Volkes, the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver, the Cothenius Medal, the doctor honoris causa, the Pour le Mérite for Sciences and Arts, the Otto Warburg Medal, the August-Kekulé-Medaille.
