Krishikar Lok Party


Krishikar Lok Party, a political party in the Hyderad State, India, existing April–June 1951. KLP was formed when Acharya N. G. Ranga broke away from the Hyderabad State Praja Party.
KLP contested the 1951 Lok Sabha elections, winning one seat.
KLP also contested 1952 Madras Legislative Assembly election and won 15 seats.
G Sivaiah contested on a KLP Ticket against RBV Sundarsana Varma from Puttur during Bye-elections of 1952, in the state of Andhra Pradesh and lost by a margin of 15741 votes. RBV Sundarsana Varma of Indian National Congress secured 25959 votes against G Sivaiah of KLP, who secured 10218 votes
Ranga would later become the founder-president of the Swatantra Party.
