Kelly Road Secondary School
Kelly Road Secondary School - Shas Ti Secondary School is a public high school in Prince George, British Columbia, part of School District 57 Prince George.
The school was first named after John Kelly, who was a pioneer that purchased all the land for timber and development and donated the land the school sits upon, and the road that runs along received his name.
In 2020, the Board of Trustees voted to adopt a dual name and Shas Ti Secondary was added as a second name. Shas Ti is Dakelh meaning "Grizzly Trail." The Lheidli T'enneh suggested this name as the area of the Hart Highway leading from salmon valley all the way to UNBC was once known to be an area populated heavily by grizzly bears, and no longer sees many
A new building is currently under construction, and has been for 3 years. The building was set to keep its name until the board of trustees voted otherwise in February 2020 and expected to open in September 2020.
