Keith Jones (surgeon)
Sir Keith Stephen Jones FRCS was an Australian medical practitioner and surgeon. He was a national president of the Australian Medical Association and was chief medical officer of the New South Wales State Emergency Service.Early life
Jones was born in Narrandera, New South Wales, and attended Newington College. In 1928, he went up to the University of Sydney as a resident of Wesley College and graduated in medicine in 1933.Army service
Jones served in the Australian Army Medical Corps during World War II. His brother, Gordon Jones, had also studied medicine and was serving in the AAMC when he was killed on the AHS Centaur.Medical career
