Karlie Redd


Karlie Redd is an American television personality, hip-hop artist, model, actress and businesswoman. She is best known for appearing as a main cast member of VH1's reality show since its premiere in June 2012.
Before Karlie starred on the VH1 hit series “”, Karlie had achieved notoriety as a credited model and actress. Starting her career early, she appeared in over 40 TV commercials, movies and print campaigns by the age of 16. Early acts include B.A.P.S, Chris Rock’s Top Five and VH1’s breakthrough acting competition Scream Queens.

Early life and education

Karlie Lewis was born in New York City to West Indian parents. Redd spent most of her childhood living between New York and Trinidad until returning to New York permanently at the age of 12. Redd studied voice, music, and dance at The Harlem School of the Arts.

Career

Early acts include B.A.P.S, Chris Rock’s Top Five and VH1’s breakthrough acting competition Scream Queens.
In 2010, Redd was in the VH1 reality show Scream Queens. In 2012 she was cast in the spin-off VH1 reality show, Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.
Redd's first role in a box office film was in the Chris Rock movie Top Five in 2014. She currently plays a recurring role on the soap opera Saints and Sinners, which appears on Bounce TV.
In July 2012, Redd released her debut single, "A Girl Has Needs," on iTunes. In 2018, she released a single titled "Karlie Ferrari".

Redd began her music career working with producers Commissioner Gordon and L.O.S. The Maestro. Redd went on to collaborate with artists such as Will I Am, Sean Paul, Sean Kingston and the legendary KRS-1.

Business ventures

In the summer of 2012, Redd launched the Redd Remy Hairline. She opened a women's clothing store called Merci Boutique in 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia.

She has an adult daughter named Jasmine.
