Karin Sander
Karin Sander is a German conceptual artist. She lives and works in Berlin and Zurich.
Karin Sander studied at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart and at the Independent Study Program of the Whitney Museum in New York for which she had received a DAAD-scholarship. From 1999 to 2007, Sander was a professor at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee and since 2007 she holds a professorship of Art and Architecture at the ETH Zurich Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. She has also been a visiting professor at institutions such as Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Karlsruhe, Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart as well as CalArts.
Karin Sander is a member of Deutscher Künstlerbund. Her work has been exhibited worldwide, particularly in Europe and the United States, notably in solo exhibitions at the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, , K20 Kunstsammlung NRW, Düsseldorf, Temporäre Kunsthalle, Berlin, Kunstverein Arnsberg.
