Kampung Admiralty


Kampung Admiralty is Singapore's first integrated retirement community project by Housing and Development Board. Designed by WOHA, it won one of the world's most prestigious architectural awards - Building of the Year at the 2018 World Architecture Festival, beating 535 projects from 57 countries.
In his National Day Rally speech in August 2018, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong described it as a "high-rise kampung where residents are out and about, socialising with family, friends and neighbours, and yet never too far from home" and a model for future public housing.

Geography

Kampung Admiralty is an 11-storey complex of two residential blocks of about 100 studio apartments. It comprises public housing for seniors who are aged 55 and above, integrated with healthcare, wellness and eldercare facilities and a childcare centre. It is located at 676 Woodlands Drive 71, Singapore 730676. It took in its first batch of residents on 12 August 2017.
