Kalavari Samsaram


Kalavari Samsaram is a 1982 Telugu drama film, produced by Donepudi Brahmaiah under the Maheswari Combines banner and directed by K. S. Rami Reddy. It stars Krishna, Sridevi in the lead roles and music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. The film is based on Maadireddy Sulachana's Agni Pariksha.

Plot

The film revolves around a wealthy conjoined family, Kodandaramaiah is its paterfamilias who has two brothers Chalapathi & Late Raghupathi. The entire family is surrounded by their respective wives, children and love & affection between them. Suddenly, one day a tragedic incident, Kodandaramaiah passes away with a heart attack. Before dying he reveals regarding the family's present financial status to his elder son Vishnu which is completely immersed in debts. By means of his kindness & spendthrift family expenditure. Here, Vishnu promises to clear the debts silently without defaming his image. There onwards, Vishnu struggles hard, raises his dictatorship over the family when everyone starts showing their resent. The rest of the story is how Vishnu safeguards the family's prestige & honor.
