KEXB (AM)

KEXB is an AM radio station broadcasting in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex as a Catholic talk station, branded as "Relevant Radio". It is licensed in University Park, Texas, United States, and is owned and operated by Immaculate Heart Media, Inc..

History

The station signed on from Denton in 1938 as KDNT. It served only the Denton area until Marcos A. Rodriguez purchased it in 1991 and converted it to a Spanish radio station for service in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
It was announced on October 21, 2011 that Mortenson Broadcasting would be selling three of its AM stations and its DFW-area FM translator K273BJ to Salem Communications for a reported $2.2 million in cash.
Sometime in August 2019, Salem announced that the company has secured a deal with Immaculate Heart Media, Inc. to sell 9 stations and 4 translators to said company. Prior to the closing of the sale, Salem moved the "Radio Luz" format to 620 AM on October 21, 2019. The callsign for this facility was swapped from KTNO to KEXB, and vice versa for the 620 facility.
During the transition, 1440 ran a redirect loop, advising listeners of the Spanish language programming move to 620 AM.
KEXB is an owned-and-operated affiliate of Relevant Radio, a talk radio format based in Catholic teaching and viewpoints.
