Juventino Castro Sánchez


José Juventino Leonardo Castro Sanchez was a Mexican transportation and political entrepreneur and governor of Querétaro from 1967 to 1973.

Biography

He was born in Amealco, Querétaro, January 25, 1919. Due to a lack of resources he was unable to finish his degree at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City.

Path

He returned to Querétaro and attended trade, graduating in 1939. He was elected to :es:Congreso del Estado de Querétaro|state congress in 1943. In 1946 he was appointed director of State Transit, where contact with freight carriers in the Midwest emerged. After the charge, he was devoted to transport companies from 1949 to 1960. In 1961 he was elected municipal president of Querétaro and in 1967 the state governor. In his period several dams, wells and roads were made and created the University Center of the Autonomous University of Queretaro, facilities Queretaro Institute of Technology, the Social Security medical set and the Exhibitor Center. Juventino Castro retired from politics at the end of his term.

Death

He died on February 3, 2006 at home Arteaga street in the city of Querétaro at age 87, victim of a respiratory arrest. His remains were cremated.
