Justin Tyler


Justin Tyler is a :Category:Canadian country singer-songwriters|Canadian country music singer-songwriter from Toronto, Ontario. Tyler began pursuing his musical career in 2011, releasing covers on Youtube. By 2018, he was able to gain a following on both YouTube and Instagram. Tyler's first three singles have amassed millions of streams and have charted at country radio in Canada. Tyler released his debut album 'All About Her' on July 25, 2019.

Early life

Tyler was born and raised in Toronto. He graduated in 2010 from Langstaff Secondary School in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and from Ryerson University in 2014. Tyler played his first drum set at the age of 12, and went on to win a nationally televised show, ‘Can Your School Rock’ on Global TV in 2012. From there, he left his previous band to pursue a solo singing career. Tyler stated that he always wanted to be in front of a camera, so he learned how to sing.

Career

In May 2018, Tyler was signed to the music label ALTR Inc. and shortly after released his debut single “First Time” which peaked on the Billboard BDS Canadian Country Radio chart at number 87. On November 22, 2018, Tyler released his country rendition of the Wham song “Last Christmas”, which was added to Canadian country radio .
Tyler filmed the music video for 'First Time' in Georgina, Ontario. Following the release of the video, Tyler embarked on a 2 month Canadian cross-country radio tour, and performed at over 40 radio stations. Tyler's second single '2000 Miles' was released on February 4, 2019. Tyler wrote his second single about a long distance relationship he had experienced. '2000 Miles' has quickly gained traction on both country radio and major country playlists on various streaming platforms. Tyler has collaborated with music producer Gabe Gallucci on both First Time and 2000 Miles. Tyler's newest single, Better with You, was released on July 17, 2020, and was co-written by Tyler Shaw and Dawson Gamble. Tyler was a finalist in the emerging artist showcase and opened for Kane Brown in 2019 at Boots and Hearts Music Festival.
Tyler lists his main influences as Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt, Keith Urban and Garth Brooks.
