Justin Di Lollo


Justin Di Lollo is a public figure in the Australian government relations and public-affairs consulting industry. In 2016 he was employed by Hakluyt and Company, a British strategic business intelligence and advisory firm, to establish a Sydney office.

Early career

Di Lollo worked as an adviser to a number of MPs and ministers in the Hawke and Keating Governments between 1988 and 1999. He worked as an adviser on the personal staff of Hon Kim Beazley between 1994 and 1999 during Beazley’s tenure as Minister for Finance, Deputy Prime Minister and later Leader of the Opposition.

Hawker Britton

Di Lollo worked as a lobbyist with government-relations firm Hawker Britton from 1999 and became managing director of the firm in 2010. Independent evidence exists of his work in major banking M&A and coal seam gas.
He is a registered lobbyist in all Australian government jurisdictions with lobbyist registration schemes.
Di Lollo has been quoted and published in Australian and British media on matters of Australian politics and government, small business, infrastructure finance, the Australian lobbying industry, political donations, the mining in Australia, fitness industry regulation and carbon pricing.
He has made multiple conference presentations on topics including: the Minerals Resource Rent Tax, regulation of the complimentary medicine industry, social impact financing, accounting practice in the resource industry, carbon pricing, political branding, entrepreneurialism, public administration, ports regulation, coal seam gas and major project financing.

STW Group/WPP AUNZ

Di Lollo was the practice director of government-relations firms for the STW Group which is a part-owner of a number of government-relations and public-affairs firms in Australia, New Zealand and south-east Asia. He was mentioned in STW Group's 2010 annual report and was acknowledged for his company's "stand out" performance in the Group's 2008 annual report.
In 2016 STW Group merged with the Australian and New Zealand businesses of WPP plc following shareholder approval. Di Lollo was Executive Director of WPP AUNZ Government Relations with management over Hawker Britton and Barton Deakin.

Other activities

Di Lollo is the chair of the board of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Vanguard, a "membership program for a dynamic group of new Sydney Symphony fans and future philanthropists".
He is a Member of the Council of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia.
He teaches at the Australian School of Business "Business Leadership Program" and is the coach of the Australian Graduate School of Management debating team. He was the third speaker for the NSW Branch of the Economics Society of Australia in a 2011 Parliament House debate against Engineering Australia.
Di Lollo is a member of the NSW Council for Civil Liberties, the Institute of Public Administration Australia and The Reform Club.

Education

Di Lollo holds a BA in political economics from University of Western Australia and a Masters in Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
