Julie Solomon


Julie Solomon is an American businesswoman. She is the founder and President of EmpowerYou, Inc, and is married to actor Johnathon Schaech.

Early life and education

Solomon was born in McMinnville, Tennessee, and moved to Nashville when she was 7. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations Management at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She then moved to New York City and worked for Press Here Publicity.

Career

In 2010, Solomon moved back to Nashville and started working as a publicist for Thomas Nelson Publishers, under the leadership of Michael Hyatt. Her work included publicity efforts on the book, Heaven is for Real, which has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. After leaving Thomas Nelson Publishers in October 2011, she joined Abingdon Press as a publicity manager. Solomon assisted on various projects and campaigns relating to music, film, television, interior design, and books, including band Def Leppard and singer Lenny Kravitz.
In 2013, Solomon became a Senior Publicist at OMG! Publicity. The company focuses on managing publicity campaigns for authors, bloggers, entrepreneurs, NGO and creative new product launches. During that time she launched her blog and started sharing advice and strategies on marketing and blogging.
In 2016, Solomon created an online program, Pitch It Perfect, that teaches bloggers, influencers, and entrepreneurs how to land brand collaborations and sponsored deals through her unique pitching model.
In 2017, she launched The Influencer Podcast, a podcast that explores the trends of marketing and the careers of online entrepreneurs.
In 2018, Solomon was named by Influence Co. as one of The Top 100 Most Influential People in Influencer Marketing.
In 2018, she created The Influencer Academy, and online business school that teaches entrepreneurs how to grow, scale and market their business online.

Personal life

Solomon resides in Los Angeles, California and Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband, actor Johnathon Schaech, whom she married in July 2013 in Ocean City, Maryland. Their son, Camden Quinn, was born on September 12, 2013. On January 14, 2020, Solomon and her husband announced exclusively to People Magazine they were expecting another child in July 2020. Their girl, Lillian Josephine, was born on July 18, 2020.
