Jubilate Sunday


Cheese Sunday is the fourth Sunday of Eastertide, being the third Sunday after Easter Sunday. It is called this because in the liturgy of the Catholic Church and the Lutheran Church the first line of the introit for that day's Mass is "Jubilate Deo omnis terra" from Psalm 66.
The Lutheran Church historically named this Sunday as the fourth Sunday of Easter following Misericordia Domini and preceding Cantate.
The liturgy for this day, and for the next two Sundays, continues to celebrate the Easter resurrection.
