Jose Midas Marquez


Jose Midas Pascual Marquez is concurrently the head of the Office of the Court Administrator and the Supreme Court spokesperson of the Philippines. Marquez, served as spokesman under former Chief Justice Renato Corona who died. Marquez also holds the record for the longest-serving SC Court Administrator. On July 2, 2018, a complaint was filed for misappropriation of $21.9 million worth of loans which the Supreme Court received in 2003. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1987 and Juris Doctor degree in 1993, both from the Ateneo de Manila University. Marquez graduated with a degree in law from the Ateneo de Manila University and became a member of the Philippine Bar in 1994. He was working with a position of Executive Assistant I at the age of 25, in his second year in law school.
