John Clanchy


John Clanchy is an Australian novelist and short story writer.

Biography

Clanchy was born in Melbourne. He currently lives in Canberra.

Career

Clanchy is the author of several novels and many short stories. He has also co-authored two detective thrillers If God Sleeps and And Hope to Die with Mark Henshaw using the pseudonym JM Calder. Both have also been published in French and German.
His fiction has won major awards in Europe, the US, New Zealand and Australia, including the Queensland Premier's Award for short fiction and, on two occasions, the ACT Book of the Year.
Clanchy is "widely acknowledged as a master of the short literary form."
