Jason Weida


Jason Weida is an American attorney serving as an assistant United States Attorney in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. In May 2020, President Donald Trump announced his intention to nominate Weida as Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services.

Early life and education

Weida was born on May 8, 1980. Weida earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Career

Prior to serving as United States Attorney, Wieda was the Office of Legal Policy. Prior to joining the United States Department of Justice, Wieda was an attorney at Jones Day and Skadden. Weida previously worked as a clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island Supreme Court.

Personal life

Weida and his wife, Kyley, have four children and live in Hingham, Massachusetts.
