Jason Bunyan


Jason Michael Bunyan is a former England under-21 international speedway rider, who rides for the Rye House Rockets in the British Premier League.

Racing career

Bunyan competed in the New Zealand Championships during 2004, 2005 and 2006 and won each event He missed winning in 2007 but came back to win the 2008 to 2010, 2012 to 2014 and 2016 NZ titles giving him the record for most wins ahead of Larry Ross who finished his career with nine. In 2007 he captained the Isle of Wight Islanders to the Premier League Fours Championship and partnered Chris Holder to the Premier League Pairs title.
For 2011 Bunyan signed with the Plymouth Devils, moving to Rye House Rockets in 2012. He remained with the Rockets until August 2014 when he was injured.

Outside of speedway, Bunyan enjoys snowboarding and spends the winter in New Zealand.
