Jamie Chestney


Jamie Chestney is an English male international lawn and indoor bowler.

Bowls career

Chestney is a twice national champion winning two National Championship titles in 2004 and 2009.
His first major international medal came in 2012 when he gained a bronze medal at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in the pairs competition with Graham Shadwell. Tow years later he competed for England in the men's fours at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where he won a silver medal.
He finished runner-up in the 2016 International Open and the following year won the Cooperative Funeralcare International Open.
In 2018 he won the World Indoor Open Pairs title with Mark Dawes and then won the Mixed Pairs title the following day with Lesley Doig.
In 2018 he was also selected as part of the English team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland where he claimed a bronze medal in the Fours with David Bolt, Louis Ridout and Sam Tolchard.
He bowls for Kings BC, who have won the Top Club championship four years running from 2016-2019.

Personal life

In 2015 he married fellow bowls international Natalie Melmore.
