James Rawson


James Rawson in Newark, Nottinghamshire is a British table tennis player who competed at every Summer Paralympic Games between 1984 and 2008, winning five medals. He has also competed at World Championships in Assen 1990,Taipei 2002 where he won Team silver with Neil Robinson and individual Bronze defeating Guertler from Germany

Table tennis career

He won a gold medal in the men's team event at the 1992 Summer Paralympics held in Barcelona, Spain; with Neil Robinson and Phillip Evans defeating Germany 3-2 in the final at the 1996 Summer Paralympics in Atlanta, United States he won bronze medals in both the singles and team event with Neil Robinson. He won a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, Australia, with Neil Robinson and Stefan Trofan a feat he repeated at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, Greece. Again with Neil Robinson and Stefan Trofan. At his final Paralympics in 2008 in Beijing, China, he competed in team finishing 4th with Neil Robinson and Arnie Chan and singles events but failed to win a medal.
