James Gair

Professor Emeritus James W. Gair was a linguist in South Asian linguistics. He was a specialist in Sinhala, as well as in Pali, Tamil and Dhivehi. He taught in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics of Cornell University. later the Department of Linguistics. He died right before his 89th birthday on December 10, 2016.
