Italy women's national rugby union team


Italy women's national rugby union team are the national women's rugby union team that represents Italy at international level.
It has been administered by Federazione Italiana Rugby since 1991; previously, since its inception in 1985 up to 1991, it was administered by UISP – Unione Italiana Sport Popolari, an association which promotes amateur sports at every level of the society.
It ranks 7th as for November 2018.

History

The Italian team played their 1st international in 1985 against France; the team takes part to the Women's Rugby World Cup, the FIRA Women's European Championship and the Women's Six Nations Championship.
Italy won 1 FIRA European Championship and 2 FIRA European Nations Cup.
