Irai Leima


Irai Leima or Ereima or Hiyangthang Lairembi is the Manipuri goddess of water and aquatic life in Manipuri mythology and Sanamahism, whose spirit dwells in the famous Hiyangthang Lairembi Temple according to common legend.
Due to the temple being her famous abode, it serves as the greatest pilgrimage site for her devotees in Manipur.
Goddess "Irai Leima" and her consort "Irai Ningthou" are regarded as deities of rivers and lakes.

Form

The goddess Irai Leima is one of the incarnations of Goddess Leimarel Sidabi, the highest supreme Goddess of Sanamahism.
