Institute of Certified Practising Accountants


The Institute of Certified Practising Accountants was founded in 2001 in the United Kingdom. It is a professional organisation representing practising accountants.
The Association's headquarters are in Hornchurch, England.
Although this association uses the word "Institute", this term is a protected word in the United Kingdom, and use of the title "institute" requires approval from the Secretary of State; failure to seek approval is a criminal offence.
It is not clear whether the ICPA has obtained such approval.

Designation

The ICPA offers its members the designation of Certified Practising Accountant.
Fellowship status is offered to members after an extra period of appropriate experience in professional practice.

Membership requirements

The ICPA is open to practising Accountants whether members of a CCAB body or qualified by experience.
