Inglewood Police Department


The Inglewood Police Department is the police department serving Inglewood, California.
The Inglewood Police Department employs 186 sworn personnel and 92 civilian support personnel. The Department consists of multiple resources, such as specially trained canine teams, directed enforcement units, scientific services investigators, bike teams, community affairs, fiscal services and recruitment.
The City of Inglewood celebrated its Centennial Anniversary in 2008. The City and the Police Department were chartered on February 14, 1908. History has definitely played a significant role in the evolution of the department's badge designs, patrol vehicles and police motorcycles.

The Inglewood Police Department is located at One Manchester Blvd. Inglewood, California. which is located in the City's Civic Center at Manchester Boulevard and La Brea Avenue. Inglewood Police Officers attend the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Academy known as "STARS" Center.

Fallen officers

, three officers have died while on duty since the establishment of the Inglewood Police Department. The deaths occurred in 1938, 1988, and 2003.
