Ichikawa Station is a railway station in Ichikawa, Chiba, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company.

Ichikawa Station is served by the Sōbu Line and all-stations Chūō-Sōbu Line services.

Station layout

The station has two elevated island platforms serving four tracks, with additional passing tracks on either side of the Sōbu Line tracks for non-stop services.

The station has a "Midori no Madoguchi" staffed ticket office and a View Plaza travel agency. The "Shapo" shopping building adjoins the station.

History

The station opened on 20 July 1894. With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR East.
