Ichak


Ichak is a village in Ichak CD block in Hazaribagh Sadar subdivision of Hazaribagh district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.

History

Ichak was the seat of Ramgarh Raj since 1772. Over a hundred temples were built under the patronage of Raja Tej Singh. Budhiya Mandir Lohri is the best known.

Demographics

As per the 2011 Census of India Puranaichak had a total population of 2,280, of which 1,169 were males and 1,111 were females. Population below 6 years was 375. The total number of literates in Puranaichak was 1,534.

Transport

The Ichak More-Goplo road links Ichak to NH 20 and also to the Hazaribagh-Hazaribagh Road station road.

Education

KN+2 HIGH SCHOOL It was established by King Kamakhya Narayan. It is one of the oldest and first higher education institute.
CAMPION BASIC ACADEMY was established in 2005
GM Institute at Ichak was established in 2007. It offers Intermediate courses in arts and commerce.
