Ian Stoutzker


Sir Ian Isaac Stoutzker CBE is a British banker and philanthropist. He was born in London, England in 1929. He is a former chairman of the London Philharmonia Orchestra.
In 1977 Stoutzker and Yehudi Menuhin co-founded the Live Music Now charity. In 2012 Stoutzker and his wife donated an art collection to the Tate Modern museum.
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama has their main concert hall named after Stoutzker’s mother, Dora. He once owned the Vieuxtemps Guarneri violin.
